The remainder of the week will feature relatively quiet weather across Colorado with dry, cool conditions prevailing. Temperatures for the next few days should climb well up into the 50’s for afternoon highs and then drop to near freezing for overnight lows. With high pressure in control, each of the next few days should feature plenty of sunshine to go along with the dry, cool conditions.

After a very wintry week and weekend, the upcoming week will feature much quieter weather across Colorado with dry, cool conditions to prevail. Temperatures today should climb to the low-to-mid 50’s and then likely into the low-to-mid 50’s on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. With high pressure in control, each of the next few days should feature plenty of sunshine to go along with the dry, cool conditions.

Wintry weather will continue here today with the good chance of snow at times and some accumulations are possible of as much as a few inches in some spots. As an upper-level low pushes overhead later tomorrow, the chance for significant accumulation will increase from later tomorrow into early Saturday. Total snowfall amounts between today and Saturday could end up in the 6-12 inch range for the Denver and Boulder metro regions.

An active and wintry week of weather will continue with more accumulating snow here today and travel conditions will remain quite hazardous.. Temperatures will remain below normal through the next few days and can bottom out near the 20-degree mark late tonight/early Thursday. There is another chance of snow around here from late Friday into Saturday and this next system can bring additional accumulations to the region.

An active and wintry week of weather will continue here with the chance of rain showers later today and then snow showers later tonight and early Wednesday and small accumulations will be possible. The second half of the week can bring significant snow accumulations to the area as multiple storm systems may have an impact here between mid-week and the early part of the weekend. The details still have to be ironed out for later this week, but significant snow will be on the table from Colorado-to-New Mexico.

The second half of the week can bring significant snow accumulations to the entire area as multiple storm systems may have an impact between Wednesday and Saturday. It’ll turn noticeably milder today with the return of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the middle 50’s for afternoon highs. Temperatures should remain rather seasonal during the next few days with generally rain-free conditions and then the chance of showers could increase early next week. One other note, it is time once again to turn the clocks back an hour as of 2AM Sunday.

7:00 AM | **A taste of winter today with grassy snow accumulations possible in the Denver metro region**

Much colder air has pushed into the region and there be rain and snow today with small accumulations possible on grassy surfaces in the Denver metro region. Temperatures will hold in the low-to-mid 40’s today for highs and then likely drop into the upper 20’s in the overnight hours with a hard freeze in many areas. Temperatures moderate for the late week and weekend with some sunshine likely on each day from Thursday through Sunday though there can be some shower activity to close out the weekend.

One final note, it is time once again to turn the clocks back an hour as of 2AM Sunday...a sure sign that winter is on the way.
